[ soles & stories JRDN ] Here We Go...

We have just landed in Jordan to start the final build up to Soles&Stories, which takes place on Friday the 8th of February, and we’ve been met with some crazy-good artistically altered TOMS Shoes! We were blown away by how good the shoes look and we couldn’t NOT share them and their creator’s skills with the www world.

So here is a little sneak peek of some of the shoes decorated by Jordan-based nannies/domestic workers as they get ready to share their soles & their stories on Friday.

It’s amazing to remember that when the ladies received the shoes they were a plain/cream natural colour with no decoration on them at all. There have obviously been some late nights and busy hands in Amman though, and by all the colour and detail you can see that we have some proper good shoe art ready to go!

If you happen to be in Jordan then get yourself to Blue Fig cafe in Abdoun this Friday at 6.30pm. If you’re not in Jordan then that little lump of sadness you feel right now is totally justified. Keep your head up though!
