Soles & Stories is an initiative that was run with nannies/domestic workers in Dubai, UAE and Amman, Jordan. The participating women were asked to creatively transform a pair of blank TOMS shoes, and share their stories along the way. The soles and stories were then exhibited and sold at one-off events held in Dubai, UAE and Amman, Jordan respectively. Soles & Stories is a chance to walk in the shoes of some amazing women, to see their stories, hear their voices, and create a moment of [sameness] where they can be seen as more that just their job title.
